Post Numero Uno - Sebastian + Barquet Gallery and stunning Ico & Luisa Parisi Chairs

My love of Mid-Century Modern furniture and architecture has always been present. The clean lines, the craftsmanship with wood and the fluid designs. Unfortunately I live in Australia, (normally this is fortunately), yet I'm at home with more of an American aesthetic.

Mid-Century Modern, or 20th Century design came to light as a defined style with a increased following with the release of Tom Ford's movie, A Single Man. Besides my love of Colin Firth, the good old Mr Darcy, the movie epitomised the minimalist and clean style.

On a hunt over the Internet today I have found it extremely hard to find a great source of furniture in Australia. So rather than create a lengthy bookmark in google chrome, I might as well blog. I don't have time to maintain one blog, so I might as well start another and give up sleep.

So where to start. Why not here with Sebastian + Barquet. I've never heard of it before. Yet I'm now an lifetime devoted follower of this gallery. Hopefully they don't mind my borrowing and sharing of their imagery. The more sharing around the world wide web the better in my view. As long as credit, and a back-link is given where credit and a back-link is due! www.sebastianbarquet.com
